The reason people think you gave out your info is they are stuck with logical brains. Why would just you be hacked? How could it even be done? It's not like you can brute force here without staff noticing, if it is even possible.

A keylogger is possible I guess, but someone who wanted your stuff would have had to have sent you a program that only you installed, and it would have to be pretty good for your antivirus not to find it. If you really think this happened, you should wipe your computer immediately, change your bank account/credit card numbers. Also, you need identity theft protection alerts.

It really doesn't add up at all, sorry you lost your stuff though.

Or because it's the only reason anyone has ever been "hacked"

I'm pretty outdated on net security but is hostile java still a thing? Like going to one of the outside p99 sites like the auction tracker/ ahungry kind of sites having a malicious script built in? Not saying those sites did but wasn't that a big thing for a while?

Not the first or the last person to call me that. Sorry the truth hurts some people about something so small as a video game account. If you get butthurt about comments on the internet then you should learn to toughen up especially a comment that was basically telling the OP why he was receiving the posts he was.

I didn't share my info with anyone...
Just so you know: close friends and family members (people who have access to your computer) are not above suspicion. If I had a dime for every time I've heard, "Oh wait. I gave my homie/brother/wife/daughter..." I'd have about... tree-fitty.

The first person I ever heard of that got "hacked" back during classic live was "hacked" by a "best friend" who just learned his password by staying over for a weekend and looking over his shoulder while logging in.

Seriously, I hope you get your stuff back.

99% of the time, you've either shared your login info in some manner or you've used an easily guessable password. People who know something about you, like your favorite band, favorite food, partner's name, etc., are also very likely to be able to guess your password if it has anything to do with any of these.

There are legit hacker tools that can brute force you down if the attacker knows your login, but your account would show (at minimum) hundreds of login fails in a short time. You could also have a keylogger, but I think your bank account would be a sweeter target that your imaginary stuff in a p99 account.

In all, it's really, extremely, unlikely that you got 'hacked' in the sense of someone with mysterious powers just randomly cracking into accounts on a 15 yr old elf sim, as people like to call it.
