Well noone in their right mind is going to argue against RMT, because it's like a 750 million dollar industry a year. So obviously regardless of your opinion on it, there's a market.
It's all a question of how much you value your time at. I personally have the mentality that it's a game, and i'd be paying for a virtual object... as in it's not a "real" thing i'm paying for. Then there's the possibility of getting scammed (see OP).
