![]() Im thinking of organising a LAN party for a load of Uni buddies to introduce them to Everquest and was wondering how I might get around the one account per IP issue for the day ?

![]() Literally need to make the accounts and then apply for the IP exemption ahead of time - might be up to a few weeks before it's granted... never had one but those who had one granted seem to say it takes between a couple of days up to a few weeks depending when they get around to it.
There's other emulated EQ servers that allow boxing out there, alternatively, which would forego that part if it's just for one casual day [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

![]() The only reasonable solution is to pay Comcast for 10 different internet lines going into your house. I see no discernible alternative.
You might be able to get a "one night only" IP exemption if you asked nicely.

![]() Using your cell phones for internet access works too. Just dont box.

![]() Did the cell phone thing for a Lan while waiting for exemption (which only took a few hrs but we might've contacted a gm). It took like no data, it's all client side.

![]() Unless your buddies already are familiar with EQ they are going to hate you for making them play P99 at a LAN party. This is where gamers come die.
