Grannock is pretty much right, I was in empire for half a year or less maybe 5 months listed on raid schedules. any of the 'top loot' like doze shoulders or mask, very few got those some are still sitting halfway complete because the pieces are just so rare. Honestly think it worked out pretty well, I could have invested another 4-5 months of high RA max b4 I probably burned out on EQ again and most likely only had 1-2 more loots I needed outside of insanely rare doze tears or mrylo dagger(not a single one ever dropped). I would have been into alt-questing more most likely gearing up a second character with ntov drops or something like some of the more vet players were onto by time i joined.

Should note that by the last 2 months or so empire had turned its raid schedule into a 3 day a week, and only one of those days it was long(ntov clear could be 7-11 or 7-12 if wipe or pull went wrong, if smooth like in the start it was 3hrs tops)

Logic has no place on these forums.

Empire raided 94 hours a week and rogue gear went to Gongshow we all know this.

Nothing too shocking here if you have ever played everquest before empire.... Sure people want more loot, its everquest........ But I think most people are at least somewhat relieved to have an excuse to break and chill from regular raiding, especially at this time of year. I didnt get as much loot as some, but way way more than i could have gotten any other way. Empire was a successful guild, now its over, looking forward to whatever is next, even if its nothing.

p much, i just think its funny that anyone who has not seen what it takes to do this content in velious on a weekly basis that thinks its super easy and will be done by a guild that has a limit cap on players is a joke. first of all we all know the state of red, we arent exactly overflowing with new players or existing players let alone high RA players to sustain a guild without a open recruit policy that benefits high raid time players willing to do the time.

on top of that, making sure you have the essential numbers of each class needed to make these velious boss kills work smoothly. LOTS of clerics, LOTS of dps, buffers/debuffers who can pay attention and not lose focus after 2-3 weeks of the same content or berg out when they dont get a loot they want and quit.

i like how empire was basically calling the blue guild who woke the sleeper faggots for doing so only to copy them some months later. that being said, i dont even think waking the sleeper is a big deal. now killing the sleeper might be brag worthy.
