Still impressed that a minority handful of nerds were able to get an entire ethnicity/religion banned from discussion by just casually posting what amounted to a few characters typed of "goy this, jew that" a few times a month sparring across the yahoo discussion group.

The ADL is working hard and wouldn't be surprised if they had someone on the inside of Yahoo corporate who did a database query of "jew" and found it had seen a 23% uptick in mentions. And mentions of jews can only be bad, of course. Right.

Yahoo!'s always been like that. I use to post there some ~20 years ago. Even back then if you talked politics or religion, likely it'd be censored and bans passed out, especially if it wasn't lefty talk. It was a liberal safe space from the start. Nah, what I miss is the usenet when it was so active [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] And it was pretty popular as many didn't have unlimited internet, was on a timer. You could just push all the posts into a reader and go through it all off-line. The usenet was the wild-west of forums hehe, RnF has nothing on it.
