Lime/Nerfed were in Hawaii the last 2 boxes, so anyone from red99 who played when dentists/azrael strangled raid times into that time zone will remember that around 11-midnight est was when Dentists got online.
2 boxes ago was level capped rolfron teams, so nope you're definitely wrong. Lime, Hughman, Nerfed and myself were all in the top 10 on the leaderboard, and I played a rogue on a server full of wizards and mages that were 2 shotting people. Kringe also got the server first red text on Konstance in the hole after we kept him mezzed for about 5 minutes, to allow kringe to get there for the killshot.
Last box was no level caps velious and the first day we hit level 40 while the rest of the server struggled to get to 20. So there was nobody for us to pvp, we weren't gonna waste time running around ganking at low levels when you didn't get tickets/points until level 50. Not to mention the object of velious is the gear progression cycle. Sadly we had to wait more than a week for people to even get to 50 while we had already farmed a bunch of HoT armor, and needed like 3 more st keys to start farming primal.

The point is even though it is a casual server there are people that take it super seriously and will play 24/7 in the beginning. It definitely hurts population after the first few weeks or months. I think the level locks and having this new server stop in classic era will help dramatically.
Logging on the day after server launch and seeing people were getting ready to raid velious discouraged me. I thought of all the crap camps I needed to do and then thinking about farming in Velious for 2-3 chars made me not want to put in the work. I know it wouldn't have been more than a few weeks of playing casually but it didn't sound like much fun knowing people were going to already be maxed out in Velious gear while I was grinding crap and the server provided maps to show where people were.
I don't mind gearing up a couple characters in classic era though.
Speaking of the maps showing player locations, did they take that out? Hopefully classic world is small enough to where they don't need to give away your location.
