If they are going custom content I would favor things that existed in Velious zones but post Velious

The iksar arc quests. Greenmist, Necro/Shaman/Monk/Warrior arcs to full completion.

The shawl 8th quest.

Vulak ring event.

Idol of Rallos Zek.

Shard of Hsagra's Talisman.

Focus effects added as they were in Luclin.

Flowing Thought stacking.

Basically just give me luclin, one of the EQ expansions.

Things like that, where Luclin improved hugely on Velious content after it was current.

Not even remotely viable to add this.

We defeat level 70 mobs currently with far more hps, and more single target damage, that have aoe's.

Entirely doable, and if they want to make the content group friendly they could modify both the states of the mob and of the drops or create entirely new ones. Maybe make fabled a regular but very rare spawn and not locked to a certain time frame.

Lol if you bothered to look at the first round of fabled mobs they ever did every single one of them cuold probably be duo'd on this server. As Eratani said it wasnt overpowered gear or overpowered mobs just was like having a level 55 mob in lower guk.

I was looking at the links provided in this thread. It was coming off level 70 mobs. Only AoW and Tunare is 70 on this server.

So I did a little digging, and took a look at the sub 66 mobs, because 66 mobs are NTOV mobs. Level 40+ mobs start dropping raid quality loot, aka random good stuff that drops all the time and would be no shame in using ever.. With the 50+ mobs that ends up being NTOV quality loot. 60+ mobs better than NTOV loot.

None of those items make sense given the loot progression on this server and where it ends. It was okay when they were originally introduced given what loot/levels/AA's was on live at the time.

These are clearly Luclin-era items. But they are not overpowered for custom content.

Its up to the project manager. They have not made any design decisions on post-Velious content that we know of.

A critical design decision that would have to take place is the admittance of spell focus into the game.

Spell focus may be something that might not be deemed acceptable as it reminds people of Luclin and Planes of Power.
