I didn't get my items back, but I have been looking at the quests. It seems a couple of them are asking for the wrong items. BP, greaves, boots, bracer all seem to be correct.
Vambraces ask for a lambent ruby as opposed to a lambent sapphire. Gauntlets ask for a lambent ruby instead of a lambent star ruby. Helm asks for a lambent ruby instead of a lambent star ruby, and also ask for a Cold Iron helm (drops in the warrens) as opposed to an Opoline Helm (drops in Lake Rathetear off Deepwater Goblins). Also, the mudwater rune is either ultra rare, or not dropping. I've spent a while in CT killing fanatics and zealots and haven't gotten one to drop. References to the above found here:
