You realize that Trump is only anti-abortion to keep the republican base with him right? He'll work to limit funding to planned parenthood to give him a chance at a second term but besides that he won't touch the issue. Just you wait.

ON paper we say abortion is legal! YAY a WIN FOR DEMS! we did it FREEDOM! Yay!

but the truth is, in every state you couldn't get an abortion before, they just limit funding to PP to abortion clinics, they create arbitrary laws to shut them down (like if you watch john oliver's last night) for example requiring 8 foot wide hallways for abortion clinics to support the use of 2 medical gurneys at once (even though they don't even use medical gurneys in abortion clinics) or by creating zoning laws to prevent them from being near other hospitals or schools.

So when we gt someone like OBAMA to provide NATIONAL HEALTHCARE.. we're all so proud! its great! we did it!

..in the fine print you see, the middle fucking class pays for the god damned national healthcare, the rich are still getting away scott free!

so this whole, let's be socially liberal and fiscally conservative, that the DEM party is completely guilty of (EXCEPT FOR BERNIE! WHO IS AN INDEPENDENT!) is fucking bullshit.

I wanted to be FISCALLY liberal, and this party ain't shit when it comes to that.. and all the GOOD I keep telling myself Im doing by supporting them, in realty, is just on paper.

If you are trying to convince me that trumps social programs might actually be in line with mine, that is a fight not worth trying to make.

All that matters kaga is that i don't care what his position is on abortion, or social issues or whatever.

without someone like Bernie in the white house, no mater WHAT we do with social issues, no matter what *pat our selves on the back* legislation we want to congragulate ourselves about... if in the states where it was a problem from the start, they are just using loopholes in the laws to STILL pevent access to any of the programs we want to change then there is NO POINT in working to fix them.

we have to fix A LOT MORE than just what the supreme court says about abortion in this nation.

For a democrat, a liberal and a humanist to say, that just legalizing abortion or gay marriage, doesn't mean that we've suddenly given people the right to be gay married and have abortions outside of anything but paper... thats pretty huge my friend.
