Yeah, but the solution is entirely unpalatable to all but perhaps a few who would be branded devils and culled from our great society the moment their ambitions were revealed.

Humanity is damned by compassion. We'll continue to help those who can't help themselves to make ourselves feel better about our own transgressions until they outnumber us, take what we have and carry us back to the Stone Age to start again.

Humans have been on this moldy rock for over 100 millennia. Look at the progress we've made I the last 200 years. Think we haven't been here before?
