This Rustid dude has been around forever and I still have no fucking clue who he is other than an image/devnoob nuthugging fanboy.

Hate to break it to you, but they've been running EQ PVP servers for what, like 5+ years now and never once have they managed to break 100 unique player population. The only people pretending like there were some great glory days on any iteration of their box are the people that were logging in to farm PVE content for a year in hopes that someone might come back to that shit box of a server.

While they've had some neat ideas, the biggest problem with image and devnoob servers are that they're being run by image and devnoob. Shit just ain't gonna change.

You just have to go into those servers with a different mind set. This new server is staying in classic with a couple hand picked kunark zones added in, max level 50, with seasons. Basically you go in knowing it will wipe within 6 months and just play to have fun. You should be able to cap within 2 weeks and then it is just PvP for points/gear and sport.

As for rusted, yes he is fucking weird. I don't get why he is impersonating Colgate on those forums and when I asked Devnoob/Image jumped in and basically said leave him alone, it doesn't make sense but don't upset him again.

I played the box when it first came out and quit because I do not have 80 hours a week to devote to a 17 year old elf sim. Any other questions?

Pretty much this. PvP on these boxes has been generally more enjoyable than any period I ever spent on r99 post-classic.

You don't have to waste your life away grinding to get anywhere on image/dev boxes and people like me and Kringe have been pusing for them to do seasons for a long time now. This will allow resets to occur after people start getting max geared out, and allow balanced pvp to occur again soon after.

They also haven't decided on the rewards system the are putting in place for those who finish at the top of the leaderboards, but I'm assuming it will be somewhat decent.
