In before "you were in nilly". I joined the server when the pop was rock bottom and the only people left in the oppositions were the griefers (at least when I was active).

I spent my time outside of nilly raids helping new players and try to encourage ppl to stay on this box.

What did I do when nilly collapsed? I helped an alternative guild to help ppl who weren't in a click get by, while pvping with gods work.

Sad to see that nilly's collapse wasnt for the good of the server. It was due to a corrupt staff members greed and due to a group of players that wanted to take over loot decisions who are part of the "shadow leadership" in empire. Eg rhetti, hb, gyno, bert etc.

You saw what happened to Cyren. He was just used to lead raids and got pixel preferences for it, but had no real power over the aimchat core.

You got 2 options on the pvp server:
1 - its a raiding alternative to cringefest on-call blue raiding
2 - pvp/grief people
3 - be real casual

Sounds like the server has guilds to fulfill these needs. What it doesn't have is another option of people who are able to even kill the raid targets when they are uncontested. And since no one else can kill them, why bother contesting them? Unless you're just interested in #2 on my list then, yeah its there for ya.

Empire prematurely griefed all opposition that didn't willingly become a feeder guild.

Empire (Holo) was WEAK AS FUCK (barely any VP keys, advisor robes etc) by comparison to Friends/other current guilds when I first came back.

You can search the forum history for the "we'll help you get your epic!" strat that brought up the population, vetted players and ran off the griefers who thought it was their time in the sun just by the default of Nihilum getting GM hammered.

When you alienate all the new blood / the rest of the playerbase by being an obvious griefer shitbag... you find yourself rather alone.

I was in GG and TMO trying to offer alternative exp options. Prior to velious you had TMO so griefed that they would literally exp in the bear pits and were bleeding players. Even then you would have ppl bound there that would aggro trains to the entrance to wipe out the group and pick them off when they were CRimg. I watched that shit happen with my own eyes.

You guys did everything to kill off any potential opposition.

And when velious launched you literally had people sit at TMOs bind points for hours, you had over 110 people on raids and kept 2 groups at the temporary guild bind point. Shit was hilarious.

TMO had it in the bag if they took top RA spots and geared up while simultaneously denying other Empire members gear. From there they just needed a reason to cause a rift in the guild and cause a split to take people with them.

But no.

They had to put pride and their blue status before a well laid strat full of common sense. You can't just walk on this server and beat a highly cohesive, well oiled machine that has worked together in a PvP setting head on.

I mean they really had a chance and blew it due to ego. "I guarantee it" :/

Woulda been way more interesting but, alas.

If you think there's people who are super excited about raiding with AoW numbers that don't want a strong alternative, you're very wrong.

Friendly reminder: don't ally with the garbage of the box, do your own thing (they will fuck you over every single opportunity... stepping over dollars to pick up dimes), don't pick a huge fight with the #1 guild until you are ready.

Mate it was gods work who helped you guys topple lite and holo absorbing smoke break / blaze, which was a guild I helped build up.

You didn't recruit players. You absorbed other weaker guilds with pixel promises that you kept with the former leaders of those guilds.
