Default 'Files out-of-date' at login when they are updated????

I've started having getting EQ started [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] . Recently I had to re-install my OS caused by something unrealted, meaning i have had to also re-install EQ.

I am running Win10, without running in compatibility mode the EQ game will crash with the 'memory reference error'.
So i have switched to compatiblity mode, however now at log in screen I get files outdated. I hae tried copying the v40 files in place a number of times. but no luck. Are there any other reasons i may be experiencing this error?

I ahve tried running with EQemu and winEQ2 as well.

Did you install Titanium to the default program files folder? Sometimes there are permissions/administrator issues with the patch zip not overwriting the appropriate files.

Try reinstalling to its own directory like C:\EQProject99

I installed it to a different hard drive. E:/EQ99 i copy and pasted files from folders directly into their corresponding folders, selecting 'replace existing files'.

I've just completely reinstalled EQ, adn the same issue.
