Our society has a vested interested in not understanding gender :P If they did...the societal power dynamic of dominating women wouldn't work anymore! Oh noes!

Yup, but it will take a couple more generations till people start to really get that....and even then, it will be a major challenge to the subjugation of women in our society (which a LOT of people won't like).
