For great exp and loot. The concordance vendors for around 10 plat. Greater Lightstones give you 4% exp and Lightstones give you 2% exp. All without leaving the zone.

Grouping is more fun though and the more people you group with early, the easier it will be to find groups later. As great as Unrest and Guk can be, Oasis is probably the quickest place for a cleric to get a pick up group.

Hello sir, Unrest is probably the best option. If you don't want unrest, do as someone else suggest, find a duo and do the sisters. You'll make decent money this way too.
Fuck Oasis, its a tarp.
Orc groups in Oasis are fine but I do find the crocs to be dull and poor loot. On the upside, there are a lot of people who wind up there, so I think it's worth a recommendation even if it's about my last resort for pickups in that level range.

finally made it to 14. got Invud. Hoped that would help me make it to the Fabled Unrest!...two corpses in DC and I'm not in unrest and cannot cast Unvud again lol. Twice I've ran around the entire zone, clearly past the enterance to Unrest which i cannot apparently see or find at Spirit of the Wolf speed, and then die on the second pass. Really...should I keep trying to get there!?

Dying on the way to Unrest is one of those classic experiences that brought everyone back to this game. Another is dying to a train the moment you set foot in Unrest.

If you're level 13 go to kurns tower and solo or group till 19-20
Just be aware it can get packed in there.
Edit: even on red it can be a busy place in the teens.

I thought about that alot. And the run from BB for a lowly dwarf is pretty daunting. As I see it, its boat to freeport, commonlands, Ro, Oasis, TimDeep, OT, WW (another nightmare, die there alot in low teens. mobs wander everywhere), FoB, Kurns. thats alot of zones to avoid red mobs and hated npc's! lol Thank you for the replies, I'm def looking for that community feel!

Unrest is hard to get to if you don't know where it is or how to path the shore to it. Best to ask someone to guide you there.

Once you do make it there, you realize it's not hard to find, impossible to miss. Mostly you just skim the shore on the right side, constantly looking for and dodging wandering mobs. Big hole in the mountain opposite end of the lake just past the goblin tents. Expect to die now and again, a couple nasty mobs along the way can get you if not paying attention.

A cleric can solo Unrest perfectly fine, if decent gear for it. Better to group though, but can solo while you wait for a group. Don't hang out at the entrance, deadly trains are common. One of the best zones in EQ, especially the basement imo http://wiki.project1999.com/The_Estate_of_Unrest
Good loot too, I still use my dwarven work boots.

One of the Cleric quests includes killing and looting the undead brewer there (for preserved hops), for http://wiki.project1999.com/Brell_Serilis_Symbol_Quests
