lol @ buying things. Pretty much every ps1 game works fine on an emulator. (Check out einhander!) Torrent while you still can.
I've done this before and it takes forever, and most of the time
you run into problems with either the EMU or the ROM.
And besides theres sentimental value with having a physical
CD and jewel case for collecting.

ePSXe and everything I've found on Romhustler.net worked just fine for me, no issues with either while playing anything, be it the Emu, or the iso.

Having a modded PSP has been extremely useful in playing almost any PS1 game that I have wanted to thus far.

Ill have to look into those Lunar games, I bought them ages ago for a normal price...

This is just my nostalgia talking, but if you check out the Lunar series, it's worth playing the Sega CD versions before the remakes for the Playstation.

I never played the Sega CD versions, or a Sega CD for that matter haha. I was more interested in checking out the insane prices they fetch, played the games long ago, and I guess it was just okay. They are probably just collecting dust with a lot of other things now.

A lot of people have said how great lunar story was so I picked it up. I play it for an hour before bed each night and I am about 12 hours in now......and I can't say I am all that impressed. It seems like a mediocre at best dungeon crawler with a boring story. Valkyrie profile 2 did it so much better.

I will see if I can find suidoken 2 though. I am always up for trying out "new" older games.

Lunar is definitely pretty standard save the girl, save the world JRPG type stuff aimed at kids. It was above average for its time though within the genre of such games. L2:Eternal Blue the better of the two. Sort of a game you had to play while you were young to appreciate I think.

The Suikoden games were cool, if not a little overrated. The mixture of party-based stuff/large scale war/base building was pretty novel. I have to admit though, my favorite part of those games was when Mantis mentioned the Suikoken saved games on your memory card while fighting him in Metal Gear Solid 1 for the PS.

"Sooo, I see you like Suiiiikoden"

That was a cool boss fight and a cool gimmick.

It's nice to see those old JRPGs rising in price though, as I have basically all of them from the late 80s - late 90s era. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Suikoden 2 is one of the top 3 greatest RPGs ever. Suikoden 1 was awesome as well but its doesnt compare to 2. I wish I could get my hands on another copy. I bought a copy years ago for 70 bux my dick head fucking idiot brother traded it in to GAMESTOP for 18 bucks. I still have not forgiven him.

Oh and WHY the fuck is suikoden 1 and not 2 only on PSN?
