found the answer on Derubel's sticky
12. I am unable to zone into, or when I do zone in am unable to see Nektulos Forest, Lavastorm Mountains, or the Arena! Within the C:\Everquest directory, delete the following files to allow these updated zones to function properly on P99: arena.eqg arena_EnvironmentEmitters.txt lavastorm.eqg nektulos.eqg Nektulos_EnvironmentEmitters.txt Credit to Falkun for typing this out. He didn't come up with the fix, but still deserves some credit for typing it out
