Lune I've noticed you often have an "edited by" disclaimer at the bottom of many of your high quality posts. As a fellow high quality poster I would like to advise you of a strategy; delete your post and repost the edited version and everyone will be in awe at your first-pass editing ability. Eating meat is one of those things where I full-on realize it's just so destructive, unethical, savage, and plain wrong, but I do it anyway. I've never heard a convincing argument in favor of meat eating (the way it works currently) being morally acceptable behavior, and it usually amounts to:

-You're a pussy.

or

-Animals and our ancestors eat/ate meat, so it's okay if we do.

Really the only reasonably ethical scenario is raising livestock so humanely that they have a decent quality of life and a painless death that is free of terror, but then meat and many animal products would be so expensive very few of us would be eating them anyway.

the reality is its even crazier than that! In the movie Cowspiracy (which is great by the way and sure to enrage the conservatives for no les than 8 years) they reveal that even if you raised your own animals or bought from only sustainable farms (as if there were such a thing) there wouldn't be enough space on the planet to feed it.

The truth is we're just going to have to wait until they can grow meat with out eyes, noses, brains and mouths to reduce the footprint meat consumption has on the earth.

No amount of colon cancer in our generation will stop people from eating those delicious, delicious burgers - I know I cant..

I've been vegan for almost four years now.

I feel fucking great. My boners are frequent and possess the firmness of a much younger penis. My hair and nails are fucking beautiful. I haven't had even a cold in the past three years. I haven't had the need to blow my nose even once. I'm fucking morally superior, too.

If you're still eating animals in this day and age, you're the weak one. Probably fat and sick and stupid, too.
