Is there a consensus on pet weapons?

Pets you charm that have the ability to dual wield; torches WILL work. I know this for a fact. I suggest you carry a bag of torches if you are going to be doing charming.

Thanks for your answer Dafier! I agree that pets will use torches as a weapon if they have the ability to dual wield. What I am not so sure about is 1) whether the pet will dual wield (not just equip) with a torch if it doesn't initially dual wield and 2) if the torch/weapon will increase the pet's DPS (assuming that it already dual wields).
