My guess is because he doesn't like the horrendous mechanics of PvP on EQ, a game that was not intended to be PvP. What he does enjoy is the nostalga and pixel acquisition.

Do all 200 people from red post on the RnF forums instead of actually playing the game? Maybe swish is just such a loud voice that it feels like all 200 of you.
On a side note, Swish I'm so happy you're trying to convince us that you are developing a real life (travelling, attending social events, and even going to gym!) but to really convince us you're going to have to stop posting to the online elf simulator forums. You don't need to apologize. This thread is hilarious because you're being far more lenient in your rule enforcement than Chest was in his in the PoM thread where he used the exact same rule.

How long did Chest wait before he took the camp from Nixxar? Less than ONE MINUTE. Less than the time it takes to relog a character! Chest lawyer-stole the camp because 45 seconds was TOO LONG, and now you're giving BDA 45 minutes!

Despite any specific guild being involved, this is exactly what I thought but didn't feel like typing out. It seemed so familiar. If the mobs are spawned and sitting there and you are not killing them almost immediately upon spawning you relinquish your claim. It has been stated again and again on the forums every time something like this comes up. If you're camping something, keep it dead. It doesn't matter if you are trying to resuscitate your mother or your dog got hit by a car (or, you know, buffing someone leaving a camp). It may not make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but it's the way it works and it's not something new.

Yep. And Skotos' log shows that he waited AT LEAST 40 minutes... probably 45+ minutes...

Last week I had a camp taken from me because I left the placeholder up for 2 minutes. This was a level 50ish camp for an item worth far less than Holgresh Beads.

I didn't cry about it. I didn't make some embarrassing attempt at hurting a stranger's feelings by psychoanalyzing their childhood or whatever Xetho was doing there... lmao...

skotos was being a pedantic cunt... we didnt get on to this game so that rule lawyering losers can get on and force people to kill at a faster rate or you'll steal it. thats not the spirit of the camp rules and you either know it or youre an autist. i thought it was OP being whiney at first but i read the chat logs and now i understand he was just being a little rule lawyering bitch. hope the reputation sticks.

eh both sides sucked in this. skotos was being a rule-lawyer and i hate that, but i think i dislike the guys on the other end of this even more for how childishly they delt with it... one of them was calling him a "sissy girl" and that he can smell that hes a girl.... absolutely ridiculous dum shit.

he was a dick for taking it in the first place though even though it was within the rules. i dont want douchebags left and right staring down every camp im at and stealing it the second i have to take a buff break on a rotation and dont get a mob or two down. both parties in this were completely shitty and the server would be better off without either of them.
