Squeek is persistent even after purge. I sat there and healed his target for hours. War of wills...

seriously, are you that dense that you think you can go to the busiest upper level zone on the busiest weekend, and expect it to just have endless mobs? smarten up for christ sakes. i wasnt on an excessive ammount of time and i found a few different places to jump in in for exp, and one of them had enough mobs for me and cleric friend to pull non stop for hours and hours. just because it didnt work for you since you couldnt put in the slightest effort/thought doesnt mean it was a huge fail. rofl KC on double exp weekend. you're adorable OP

also just want to point out that you are thinking from the most selfish point of view possible... you dont seem to understand that since the same number of mobs pop with the same timers but have double experience points..... the total exp gain for the server is doubled. just because you arent able to get in but tons of other groups do is inconsequential. the server benefited from this and like everything else in everquest - the people that can get to things first and stick on them the longest wins. thats just the way of the game. its about the whole server, not just yourself.

Overthere and Burning wood had enough mobs for me to still pull 40+ mob swarms
If a bard can do that still in a zone then it is not too overpopulated.

Just to give some perspective on how busy the server was, I saw 2 OOC fights over camps in Permafrost this weekend....I cant even imagine KC or Seb.
Smart money would have been to make your own group and do HS or hole for 50+

Sorry to hear dbl xp didn't work out for you OP. It seems the solution best suited to your preferences is instancing. Not looking to put words in your mouth, but it seems you are frustrated that you have to compete. Norrath is an open world of scarce resources ^^
On red we had some players attempt to simulate this blue problem for us (/salute), but the solution for maximizing utility from dbl xp was the same: avoid regular grouping hotspots. Hopefully you are able to make the best if the next one! ^^
