its always been spawning- the npcs were removed thus its not back yet

My 2 cents :

Why not reintroduce the quest giver for those like me who wants complete their quest - make it spawn like once a week or even a month if u are afraid to see too much BFG in game or kill it definitvley if u see auctions in EC.

I would place my money on this. Two days ago, I was able to find and /loc four different locations, I got one, gave my buddy one, let a ranger from Omni loot another, and I guess the other just rotted away. I went back to every /loc I had yesterday and never found one, even searched harder, but still no luck.

When/if they start spawning again, don't expect people to come blabbing to this forum they are dropping. For those of us that have been on this server long enough should know better that people will keep it under wraps as long as they can.

Don't make it spawn once a week or once a month. That's dumb as hell.

Fix the bug that allows ground spawns to be client side triggerable by swapping characters (this is honestly the only issue with the quest right now)
Set random locations around icebergs and land and respawn maybe every 2-3 hours after picking up, maximum of 2-3 up at a time.

Making it once a month is the dumbest thing they could do.

Trying to making this unclassicly rare is dumb because we have the knowledge of where they come from. They didn't make Guise a 1% drop rate or Manastones or Donal's when they were OP or Fungi staves or Rod of Annihilation.

This server allows people to go back and do things they didn't have a chance to on live. A large number of those things are obtaining legacy pixels. Which is a lot easier with the knowledge we have now. Let people swim around for 4-5 hours and find a plank. Don't require people to do 4 hours of swimming daily for a slim chance to be on when the bi-monthly plank spawns.

The number of BFGs on this server will undoubtably be unclassic. But don't make the mechanics of the quest unclassic to try to fix that. Let the mechanics be classic and the server fall as it will.

People always say "the number of X is unclassic" but that makes no sense. Because these things are so classic on this server is why there is more than on live because people have knowledge of how it will work. If it wasn't classic then there would be less.

Seeing people say it about every legacy item smells of butthurt.
