The original Discord was won in the first few weeks by people who parked 16-24 and farmed fresh 5s. After that the population got so low it became impossible to catch up.

Racing to higher level seems like it has a better chance to give the server longevity, rather than rewarding someone who kills 200 level 5s while someone who has made it to 30+ just plays an empty game.

I think a hybrid approach that tallied kill points and then used level as a multiplier when calculating final ranking would work well.

Dang the 24th level Gnome magician
Awakened the 20th level High Elf wizard
Korpo the 24th level Gnome magician
Searyx the 37th level Dark Elf cleric
Trindamere the 18th level Dark Elf necromancer

If there is a secret high level guy, he will probably be tracked down and killed. You are going to need friends to stay alive in this massively multiplayer online role playing game. On discord more than any other server that is a fact.

At minimum you can roll in a good duo.

So where are the darkenbane guys? Do we have any people on P99 that played discord awesomely? I played but like usual I found out about it after a haitus and showed up a couple weeks in and it was basically done for. There were a few brave halflings defending the thicket by then but many had been slain.

Its a blast and I think anyone with any time should try to get a gang together and play.

The true winner of the server was Apostle a high elf cleric. Anyone know his whereabouts? He was not crowned king because of naming policy violation. Surname was Paul

One of those guys on the winner list came out of no where with a bunch of volunteer suicides to make the list and no one had heard of him at all.

I dont think anyone gives a shit about the hall of fame part. Most of us just want to play on a perma death server. I could be wrong and you do make a valid point if anyone is actually trying to "win." I just hope to survive and kill as much people as possible.

Are you kidding? A crew of wizards is going to level up to mid 30's at complete downtimes avoiding any pvp at all costs, and then camp portals and zonelines waiting to insta blow someone up so they can high five and stroke each others epeens.

So glad all the <friends> can go circle jerk each other because this is their exact desired playstyle.

My prediction, this box continues to thrive once the degenerate elitist scumbags all have their own playground, that will have a pop of 10 europeans 2 weeks after launch.

I think the idea of a permadeath mmo is amazing, however thats not what eq is or was even remotely designed for. Seems like people who think this is the best idea ever should find a game and a community of like minded players and developers, not try and force their playstyle into a game where it doesnt really fit.
