Well, it's good to see that some people are getting them quickly. I made my post based upon my own experience and those of people whom I have met in game.

As for the RNG, lets look at this from the other side for a moment. Even if the drop rate were set far lower than it was on Classic, the RNG would still make it so occasionally somebody would get them quickly.

So the reality is, some people are getting them quickly, some are not. The question is what are the relative numbers. So far on the thread, I appear to be outnumbered - perhaps I (and a lot of other people) am just getting unlucky.

I'll close with this. It's kind of a shame when people try to make legitimate comments about the game, that might possibly improve it or make it more classic, and then some people (not all) can't seem to restrain themselves from making insinuations of laziness and impatience. I'm talking about the same kind of "too cool" people that frequented "better than" cliques in High School. Hmmm, maybe they still do. heh. But I wax flamish. Apologies. I'm done with this thread, but not sadly, with my Elder Beads camping.

RNG is classic.

Compare with the OOT Ancient Cyclops. I've had him spawn after 4 kills (after he'd just spawned as well for the guy before me)...and I've sat there for over 12 hours, with the last guy giving up having put 8+ hours in himself.

Expect the worst and you can always be pleasantly surprised, but not in this case I guess [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I've probably put in 40 hours or so over the past 10 days.
Hi m8 I put in 120 hours over the first two weeks of Velious before I got mine. You'll get it eventually.

Necromancers or SKs can summon the eyeball and lifetap it, you can summon it and hammer off of the eyeball (pretty frustrating to do as the eye only survives like 2 hits) and monks can use the eyeball to pull mobs from very long distances (mobs that would otherwise cast really bad nukes or destroy the monk with melee damage)

Overrated, overpriced and subject to some sort of mysterious legend.

Buy or get a gnome friend to make you 2 tinkered stalking probes (50-100 ea), 5 charges eye of zomm , and recharge them for 6pp or less.

Still, I do want one, but I aint paying those muppet prices !

I got mine when I was killing mercenaries and an elder roamed into me. Was going to FD it off but decided to kill it, and they dropped.
