lite considers pvp logging out in phara dar's lair and then killing a 32k hp dragon before nihilum can even enter the zone

i guess?

kergan's recollection seems a lot more accurate to me

As a long-term warm-body, I remember the Kringe-led Dentist/Azrael combo being Azrael's most potent form.

Just being honest here, I can only remember a single time actually fighting Azrael in VP. It was at the zone in and we won with (surprise) overwhelming numbers. Sure there was plenty of "PVP" but it was usually Rallyd or Tune or Nizzar trying to chase down Lite on whatever bard he had logged in.

I can also honestly say that 90% of the guild had no idea how to move around in the zone - moving the raid consisted of the same 4 or 5 people training away see invs mobs so the zerg mass could relocate and without fail multiple people died every time. There is no way Niz or anyone else was going to make the call to chase down Azrael in there. When Azrael got mobs it was because they mobilized faster in general, had less people to move through the zone and for the most part knew the zone better than the average Nihilum member.

As for the sim repops, they definitely lead to some fun moments and more loot going to the resistance. But you have to remember that it lead to a ton more loot for Nihilum as well. The only way a guild like that stays on top for as long as it did was to have a constant steady stream of pixels coming in to feed to new members. Sim repops helped Nihilum out more than Azrael, even with the occasional lost PD. I'm not even exaggerating here when I say that a new member was pretty much in full non PD loot (VS legs, trak bp, full planar, VP weapons, epic, haste item/bcg, a few sky quests done, etc) by 100 dkp which was 1-3 months of raiding depending on how big of a neckbeard you were.

That being said, I think that threesome in EJ was one of the moments all sides will look back on fondly. I remember the confusion and apprehension at the beginning when nobody knew who was with who and what was going to happen. It is a shame something like that can't last, but it's the way this game works unfortunately.[/QUOTE]

good post.

im sure u dont even care to teach ur numbers how to pvp efficently, know them class and know the encounters, you could do some posting on ur private forums etc and teach ur warmbodys to hold theyre own so u dont have to post those things about ur own guild while trying to tell us ure the best p99 guild.

You'd think there were months of epic clashes based on some of these posts. What we had were one year lulls of zero mass pvp followed by a single repop fight then another lull.
