The Family Chest Straps - Kael
Bjoskhua Blackfist has the wrong dialog/reward.
Right now he asks for the Backbone of Phinny from Kedge, but this is completely wrong. Here is what he should be saying/asking for: http://www.tokyo2001.com/game/eq/quest/kael/kael16.html ">What contest of the fist? Those who walk the path of the fist are fierce indeed. Stories in my books tell of great contests once held. Contests of skill without weapons. Only the body and the warriors' training would keep them alive. The last warriors to survive would be given a set of magical chest straps as a status symbol. >bargaining chip? I could trade them to another Kromrif family, I'm sure. These chest straps are quite prestigious. However, if you walk the path of the fist, I might consider trading them to you. You would have to find me something quite unique, though. >Something quite unique? Something rare and exotic from lands far from here. I have heard of an invention that allows you to see more clearly. I believe they are called monocles. If you could find me a 'monocle' that would fit me, as well as a book about the races of the rest of the world, I would easily give up these old things. " The comments here show confusion on which book he is asking for, and seems to be unresolved. I know what we have is wrong, but not sure what the real turn in/reward should be. | ||

This quest was unsolved in our timeline from the research I see. His text was changed to the Phinny garbage sometime in 2002 past our timeline. Here is the clear reference that this quest was borked around 2002:
4th Comment down, dated Jun 8th 2002 : "new info: You say, What contests? Bjoskhua Blackfist says, Ages ago there was a race of wishmen named the Kedge. Prexus spread them throughout the waters waters of the world and they were prosperous. Rumors abound that even near the waters of velious they had great cities. All at once they seemed to be whiped out of the fave of Norath...." And then this guy on Feb 9th 2003: Alla Comment #2 "At Amiable and better faction, Bjoskhua Blackfist will indeed accept the Giant Sized Monocle (but will still return other items) - confirming that this is what is needed. As to the book - I still have no idea. EDIT: Additionally, as of right now, his text is broken. You get the response listed above for "what contest of the fist" regardless of what you say to him.
