so just change the drop rate on the wing and rope, if the ground spawns cannot be changed without a huge hassle then then lowering the drop rate, which is fairly rare on the rope as it is, will solve 99% of your problems.

This would be a mega retarded change.

We have enough poopsocked camps in Velious. Don't add another.

Keep the planks rare and just figure out a way to prevent auto respawn. Making other piece rare which drop off mobs just pushes people to shit in a sock and farm those mobs. Please no.

Im sure if they can figure out how to force luclin models off, and disable spell timers, that they can fix ground spawns [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Just because one thing can be done doesnt mean something else can easily be fixed.

I'm disappointed that this quest has had such issues as well but at the end of the day it really is just a novelty item. Not even a super-useful one, but a cool looking one nonetheless. I'd settle for a stat-less BFG just to have that robot arm thing! lol

As a ranger, I beat everyone but rogues in DPS with mainhand BFG and Trueshot disc....It isnt just a novelty

I was a little underwhelmed by BFG meleeing to be honest. It still functions like a bow, so its damage formula is vastly inferior to a melee weapon. Stationary nonrooted bonus + TS means it's still nice, but not earth shattering.

EDIT: To add... I don't think I agree with the bow dmg calc listed on the wiki. It feels more like there's just no double modifier like there is on melee swings. BFG primary on stationary nonrooted + TS feels like its swinging about like a 40/50 weapon, which is comparable to a 12-13/20 weapon in MH.

I thought the BFG if used for ranger melee gave the ranger the ability to crit on melee attack, is this not the case? Also, I heard the knockback effect was eleminated by the time the titanium client came out so it wont be doing that either. Any info on this is appreciated, thanks.

The knockback is a clicky and it works here. It doesn't move mobs far (a few feet at best), but not sure if it can move permarooted mobs here, haven't tried. On players (or self) it can knock you back really far depending on layout of the area you're pushing someone. From highest regular spot of ToFS in Iceclad the KB almost throws you into the water to south. In EC at top of tunnel you make it to the grass KBing yourself.

You do get the crits, but its not enough to push it into amazing territory. Also, you consume arrows meleeing with BFG, so you burn through them hard since you can double attack with BFG in primary.
