Thurgadin plate pieces drop like candy from the plate cycle (triggered as part of Coldain Ring 9 quest) in Icechard Keep (11 on the wiki map). Don't let the dwarf leave the room and you can run the cycle indefinitely. If he makes it to the stairs, the trigger will be inactive for a few hours.
