I wonder how many people will play this server when there are no tell windows, no graphics options, no mouse scroll, one ui option, no sidestepping, etc, etc. Personally, I think the server was perfect, a classic gameplay/server state with a few quality of life features. I'd be up for a hybrid server that did something like this.
Anyways, the buff timer change was extremely annoying, but I can deal with it. I'll probably just end up using GINA like everyone else. Its pretty lame that a simple feature being removed forces a ton of people to resort to third party programs.

I have to admit I'm befuddled by how many complaints there are about buff timers and some other basic amenities that simply didn't exist in the game at the time. Not because they aren't nice to have - sure it was convenient to be able to check how much slack you had left before rebuff time - but because they're unnecessary. Distracting, even. This isn't a "shit's classic" argument either. I'm not married to the idea of the server being as classic as possible; if it's fun to play, it's fine by me. I just haven't been using the things people are complaining about losing, or needing to replace with 3rd party programs or whatever, the whole time, so it's confusing when I see people talking about how important/game-changing/necessary they are. Honestly, why do you even need stopwatchers or timers? Is it that hard for most players to gauge how long you (or your party) take to kill a target in an area where you plan to grind, compare that to how long your buffs last, estimate how many pulls it'll take before you need to rebuff and start a cycle in your head based on that information? It's friggin' Everquest. As a caster, if you're not internally planning for how much mana you're using on an average pull, how fast you're pulling, and how many pulls you can get in a given buff cycle, what the hell are you doing?

As a cleric on PVP server I run around with a full set of buffs on at all times and I keep them fresh. Some last a long time and some last only 15 or so minutes. It's very difficult to keep track and a high HP buff dropping in the middle of a fight would kill me, and I can't simply rebuff all the time because symbol costs 10pp and the other spells cost a lot of mana which = time which = I don't get to play as much. On blue it wouldn't matter to me. No one trying to kill me./
