![]() I tried to post this earlier but I think the forum ate it - if there was an accident or mistake, please feel free to delete the duplicate.
Hello everyone, wanted to introduce myself: I am a long time EQ vet, having played since launch until a few months after PoP came out. I originally rolled as a necromancer and leveled from 1-50 solo. I didn't actually know you could group (a noob, I know) until around level 48 when I was doing a trade in the EC tunnel, and someone invited me to a group. Anyway I enjoyed the heck out of the original game and eventually rolled an enchanter and got him a few hundred AAs as well. I ultimately quit when the servers started dying, and played EQ2, WoW, and all the other games that came around, etc. Here are some of my questions - and I apologize if they are already answered in FAQs and I just didn't see them... 1. Are there epics? I remember epics being in the game around Kunark time and I certainly remember raiding PoFear and Hate to try and get things. I regret never having finished mine, so I might amend that... 2. Is it even possible to obtain epics and or raid? I know that P1999 is a bit top-heavy since it's been around a while and a lot of people are maxed out...do you have to be part of the "text me at 2:00am" to raid group or do casual guilds have any opportunity to raid? 3. Since I played completely solo back when I played original EQ, are there solid leveling/questing/friend groups available? Are there opportunities for me if I want to play a class who relies entirely on grouping? Are there plenty of active guilds? (I should think so with 1600+ players) I feel pretty confident playing any class - but I am leaning toward Bard or Enchanter (again), though I am a tiny bit hesitant to have to raid just to get my spell drops. And I really disliked doing spell research, too, but that's part of the game I guess... [You must be logged in to view images.
