Hey all. I rolled an enchanter when I started here and got him up to 55 but soon after realized that I hated enchanter. I had to haste, slow, tash, charm and do major dps, crack buff, other buffs and CC. It was very restricting to say the least. Having to plan 5 minutes in advance when you wanted to take a quick bio was not fun.

So, I rerolled monk and got him to mid 30's, but soon after realized the non-stop pulling was just as bad as the enchanter.

I'm looking for a more chilled class style that also has the ability to solo. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe SK or pala? But, I hear SK have to pull a lot for groups and pala are weak solo. I'm not as interested in pure casters.

My ideal class would get groups quickly in places like Sebilis, have an easy relaxed roll on raids - not puller for sure and still have some ability to solo. Is there such a class?
Ranger, no one gives a shit if you afk because they assume you were already dead ;D

With the exception of the 'ability to solo ' rogue check marks all of your requests. They are chill and laid back, never pull generally, quick to get groups cause dps is sick (especially in seb, due to lock picking anddd dps) if you want to trade being wanted in groups for ability to solo, go ranger

Not so sure about never having to pull. You'll often find a slack monk in your group. I've had a monk, ranger AND bard in a KC group before and they all had that semi-afk/cba mentality... you end up doing it because otherwise the XP is so terrible that you might as well log out.

Play something that can solo and not have to bust butt non stop in a group.

Druids are very relaxing in play style as are mages.

This I get stuck pulling enough to annoy me on my Rogue. It's supposed to be a break from Monk pulling dangit!

Hahaha, this is a bit drastic but made me laugh.

The OP wants something more laid back but still viable for solo and getting groups, so my suggestion is cleric or wizard.

Someone already stated that cleric can solo undead and get in groups and in groups you are mostly healing, so you can just warn people when you need a break.

Wizard can solo well, and they are viable in groups at higher levels with their efficient nukes but be prepared from some redundancy.

If you can handle playing an enchanter at a high level, you can play these classes well.

If you decide to go necro, keep in mind that they are a bit complicated as well, which it sounds like you are trying to avoid.

People that are saying Cleric...

A. You don't play one so you don't know any better, so you're forgiven.

B. You're a bad Cleric

Cleric is a fairly busy class. Stuns, helping cc, calming, and the occasional rebuff. And you're almost always with an enchanter so don't miss those charm breaks like a scrub.

There's more, such as target knowledge, not every encounter is the same, mana preservation, etc etc. In depth class if you want to play it well. Would write more, but I only come here on my tablet so nah I'm sweet bro.

Exhibit a:
Cleric doesn't stun wizard in Seb, group gets hit with AOE or god forbid the tank doesn't resist the giant nuke. Well that 40 mana stun now cost you anywhere from 400-1000+ mana

Exhibit b:
I was in a KC group on a lower level alt. Cleric did not know jailer hit hard and started CH at the normal 25-30%. Tank died.
