This spell should not drop until 5 months into Velious:

• Remove them from mobs' loot tables until 5 months into Velious (April 17, 2001)
• Change Spell File to have Canni IV be level 255 from now until then so that shamans who have already scribed cannot continue exploiting an out of timeline spell.

I need this feeling. Seen Canni IV drop once now and my immersion was crushed. Shamans must deal with not being full mana instantly for another 4-5 months!

Sort of confirmed in link below (January 2001), they dont list it there 1 month after velious launch (but other velious spells are), but there is a snapshot showing it later (Oct 2001). So patch notes of April seem legit (but we already knew that).

Needs to be removed for next 4 months and spells that have already been scribed need to be made uncastable (set level to 255).
