Picked it up and it was the planking. I have talked to several people who have been looking for it and cant find it. I also know of other people that have found it in different places. It was later learned that it is a complete random axis spawn. It could spawn on the bottom of the ocean someplace, or along the coast. From all the places Ive heard, its generally along the waters edge. Thats what makes the quest so difficult. I just hope this can be tag teamed.....

The planking was respawning instantly at multiple locations when players rezoned or switched characters. I let the staff know about it after I realized what was happening. Braknar told me today it was fixed so I assume it's back in game now but with a more classic drop rate.

The 'quest' should never be nerfed. The planks just stop spawning one day, but people who have banked the plank will always be able to collect the other 2 items and complete / MQ the quest.

Posts on Allakhazam confirm the Seaworthy Planks spawn in October/November 2001. It isn't until 2002 when players comment on the planks disappearing.
As far as I've discovered, this quest should always be in during our timeline unless other evidence arises.

It's a real BS move to remove the planks after 1 day when they were open to exploiters hording them. I spent 12 hours with launch/raiding and by the time I woke up the zone had been reset and they now are suddenly no where to be found. I have put in a good 10-12 hours through every island, above and under. I've circled all main islands, shores, sand, even ventured 100-200meters off the coast. I've swam from the docks to the entrance from NRO under water. I've checked EVERYWHERE possible besides swimming the vast expanse of no-where.... NOTHING. This is just ridiculous. Especially with no update from the GM/Staff.
