Where the hell did that post that showed gun-related deaths in the US compared to a bunch of other countries go? I was going to adjust the numbers based on population and estimates for numbers of guns in the countries to see how it actually measures up.

The reality is that your chance of being killed increases if you own a gun. That's not a joke it's a fact. So there's no need to argue over it. It's like arguing with someone trying to tell you you won't win the lottery. Sure you're buying tickets and you think you have a system. But it's all random and you never know. You may win the lottery or your scared wife may shoot you in the chest when you come home from the bar after a hard days work, drunk and in the dark. Happens all the time. Happens more than people saving themselves from murderers.
