Sense Heading is completely useless.

You're standing in Greater Faydark, you're lost and can't see any landmarks but you know without looking at an EQ atlas map that Crushbone is on the north wall and that's where you want to head.

"You are facing north" ... off you go. Dropping a weapon works just as well.

I use sense heading for convenience, but you can replace that with /loc, take a step, /loc, see how the numbers changed.

It tells me the direction I'm heading. Always correct, too.

But that doesn't mean I know what's in that direction.

Right now if someone links you a compass in chat it tells you your direction when you click on the compass link...

Sense heading is the 3rd most useful thing in EQ behind begging and language

You jump out of sky and want to make sure you are actually facing west so you can find the dock...

You just got the FTE on Faydedar and want to make sure you are properly running north so some Class C neckbeard doesn't harass you in tells and petition you for "stalling"
