7K to spend on a paladin to make a big impact, what should I buy?

Haste is over rated as a paladin, if you're not soloing then don't worry about it. Buy some jboots.

if you are really concerned about loosing plat on an fbss consider a Tink bag!

Switch it out for haste when you can get schw or cheaper fbss down the line.

Haste will make a minimal difference for a pally in a group setting. Their DPS is sub par to begin with, and they rely on spells for aggro. I would rather spend the money on survivability.

Of course, if you plan to solo then haste will help. Just remember, were not sure on what Velious will do to the mid level haste items currently out (FBSS, SoTDB).

Yeah you need to be able to hold agro , but no one wants to beat on a Trash mobs for 5 minutes to kill it either for a lack of DPS. You sort of are the DPS like it or not. Not every group is going to have a Epic Rogue, and a Epic Monk in it helping out. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

So I am still pushing for Haste like it or not. If you are worried about losing 5K on a FBSS, well than re roll a Mage and go naked.

Jboots is the best investment you'll ever make on any character. I personally didn't get haste until I was 46 or 47 when I went to PoSky with Asgard and got one of those Belt of Virtue's. Most aggro is done through spells, haste is just icing. You really shouldn't be soloing as a Paladin anyway at that point, imo.

Armor of Ro pieces are better imo then DW pieces. The boots have 35 ho, greaves have stamina. Get yourself 5 ac 55 hp rings, sword of the morning. Don't sweat a haste item just yet, you're a Paladin, your dps is shit, period. If you have the cash to spare get a hooded black cloak as well. As far as earrings, go for the stamina ones as well as the stamina neck (golden opal amulet)? After that save up for raw hp and resist gear like an earring of essence and a solid ranged item like an idol of the thorned.
