Ahhh, I see what you're doing. You're moving beyond the possibility of hex gene mutation - which yes, I know to be true - to any observed mutations that have been beneficial. The answer is no. But that's another can of worms, wouldn't you agree? Because it would be hard to argue that all mutations are detrimental. I don't see that as where you're going because it's a dead end.
The point I was making was that macroevolution has been observed in a laboratory setting. That those experiments produced efficient/beneficial change aren't even part of the same argument.

That's more of a deflection than an answer. Not all mutations are necessarily detrimental, no. However, specifically on the subject of hex mutations, which you pointed to for evolutionary evidence, there seems to be an absence of evidence for beneficial mutations and an abundance of evidence for harmful mutations. That's really what I was getting at.
I'm not sure how you're saying that macro evolution has been observed in a lab setting. Please elaborate.
