ranger isnt as OP as they used to be. If they adjust auto attack damage and CA damage enough though rangers might just suck.

Honestly I have never had a problem killing a ranger in eq2. Not that great of a pvp class atleast till they get extended range AAs and better bows.

you can be seen when someone is close to you but not if out of melee range

It's like predator style stealth if I remember right? You can see like a shimmer if they are up close? Or I am going full potato and thinking of a different game.

Dim/see through ish. Not a blur like predator. At least at close range.

I for one will not be playing a scout. I will be playing something that kills scouts because that is probably what 80% of the server will be.

Well normally tanks can kill scouts. Problem is scouts get evac, invis, tracking etc.... so wouldn't it be easy for a scout to just avoid the tanks that could kill them?

In combat evacs are no longer a thing... invis doesn't work once you are in combat either. The real scout killers are enchanters/pet casters/monks and sometimes tanks if they outgear the scout.

pet casters will be killed before they see the scout, many enchanters wont get a mez off either

cant just say tank , eq2 is different

paladins have small damage nukes with stun effect that actually land, SKs can steal lots of hp and mitigate damage well

mages still have very low hp and defense even in eq2, they can kill players if they get the jump

at higher levels necros get undead tide + regular swarm + Encounter aoe disease ( they can summon about 20 pets + regular pet ) Which can kill any class, if you have time to cast it all

if you open the fight tanking a scout as any caster you are dead, just like eq1

also note berserkers are pure tanks but top tier dps and guardians are lowest dps but have the best mitigation.

eq 2 has alot of differences, its a great game in its own way and if they have the free to play model im in , but it looks like its gold membership only, so we shall see.
