Thinking of starting ranger on red - any point?

Rangers start off as a blast till about lvl 30 and then start taking a dive into the 50s. That sky bow would be the tits if you can do it. If you just want a pvp alt for low lvls I would def try ranger if you're lookin to just have some fun.

Play whats fun, bottom line. Also, even though everyone worries about leaderboards, the top is infested with deleveled shitters. Best advice I can give you is have fun, level up, kill people in a group setting, get gear. When people call you a "non factor" cus you got killed a lot by twinks leveling up, their opinion probably isn't worth worrying about.

What he said. If you're having fun you're doing it right. Ranger is a fun class.

If you don't have at least a Fungi/Baller weapon and Bow/Haste item then don't bother.

+1. Enjoy the game. The people telling you the best toon to win a 15 year old game with 200 players have already missed the point.

Rangers are very good in pvp if you use the correct tactics, and very good for avoiding gankers as well. If you liked it on blue and that's what you want to play, do it.

My human ranger felt great up to about level 51. I did plenty of damage in pvp, granted I am a good jouster. But 51+ without raid gear, and a windstriker there was no point. Warriors could out DPS my range with boulders & I had to land twice as many hits to go toe to toe with anyone in melee.

My ranger is still level 51, stripped naked, and is only used to see if mobs are up anymore.

I would go red if i were you, but not ranger to start =/ but do whatever makes you happy.
