So you're saying that the founding fathers of the united states were liberals? Would you mind expounding on how they were liberla conpared to what a liberal in today? I would enjoy seeing how you compare the two.

Liberal in terms of "libertine" as in following the thought process of Locke, Rousseau, De Sade, Hobbes, and Newton to some extent. The actual meaning of liberal reflects those things but in America liberal is just another word for democrat and "liberals" in that sense have nothing in common with libertines.
