Troubadour is a caster based bard. They're all about kiting and buffing the nukers while dirge is their melee counterpart.

Assassin is like the pure dmg based rogue. Brigand is a huge debuffer as well as good dps.

assassin is a positional based rogue with large cooldown high dmg backstabs

brigands do not rely on positions as much

You seem pretty knowledgeable and there really isn't much info on classes back during classic.

I want to go scout. I want to go utility and be decent in PvP solo/small group.

What do you suggest. Looking through classes swashbuckler looked good to me.

if that's true, you choose your class immediately upon creation and coercers (along with some of the other previously faction-restricted classes) can play both sides.. just fyi

some of the classes are still faction-restricted: paladins/SK & conj/necro for example, and so are races.

have not confirmed if the betrayal quest to change citizenship to the opposing faction is still implemented, but assuming so at this point.

Didn't know they removed some of the faction restrictions, interesting. The mentoring system still in place? That was the one of the best ways I've seen in an MMO to play with pals who decide to show up to the party late.
