The main question here is really natural regen vs stun immunity. Everything else is gravy.

the extra regen means more mana which makes you a better group healer.
vs
the stun immunity allows you to solo harder end game content.

I can still solo Heiro, Cliff golems etc on my Iksar Shaman - Stun immunity is a non factor in shaman solo capabilities end game [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It's probably more useful for the truly hard stuff like Lodizal and WW Dragons.

Based on reports from that era, it really wasn't an issue for those either.
