Is the double xp weekend something that happens every week or just this one time?

Sounds like popular theory is that double xp just happened this one time because the p99 gods were noticing a seriously damaging exodus to the Project 2002 server and needed to stop the massive bleeding.

As such, double xp went into effect and p99 set a new all-time attendance record two days ago.

the last double exp event was a 4-day exp orgy given to players as recompense for the great DDoS fest of 2014. velious opening will probably bring out all of the basement haters in full force. figure another double exp will probably happen about a month after to keep the new players that were attracted by the velious drop

I thought it was because of the recent server instability. A way to make amends for any bad feeling from players and (more practically) a chance to stress test the new equipment.

I left my tinfoil hat on the coatstand today.
