Odd... every time I log onto P99 I see nothing but people leveling and scrambling for loot.

"Fresh" is irrelevant.

Irrelevant? So you are going to tell me that a players experience on P99 as it is now is exactly the same as it would be on a brand new server? Obviously wrong, but alright.

why do you all need a fresh server? It always a little confusing to me when people asking for one.

A new server become flooded with plat really quidkly. From what i remember of live within 2 weeks or less people will be killing Naggy / Vox . Within a Month most of the good classic camps are perm camped if not earlier.

It is a perception problem from my point of view: People /player view a fresh as wonderful and fesh BUT it is only that for a very very very short period of time.

You can form a a small group or guild to play how a new server feels (Almost) Just stick to Original EQ content and gear. YOU can play this way here on P1999. It is not easy due to high amount of good gear from kunark available for cheap. IT a matter of how dedicated you are to this play style.

Anyhow my 2 cents.
People really want a "fresh Server where no one knows anything about the game" because thats the only way to get a true fresh classic experience. You can open as many "fresh" servers as you want but you cant wipe people's memories on how to demolish the content and shit.

I for one hope they add another server. Spent hours today LFG and every dungeon my level was wall to wall players and of course everything was camped to death.

Lots and lots of good reasons for a new blue server, and Nilbog's idea of a recycling progression server sounds pretty damn good to me. The current blue server is so over saturated with fully geared level 60's, uber-twinks rocketing through lower levels, and people with millions of plat / items that it's absurd.

Judging by Nilbog's and Rogean's comments during the Velious announcement livestream, it's all but guaranteed it will happen unless the population on blue plummets dramatically for some reason. It's just a matter of when.
