This thread is born out of Lite's bitterness of turning in to a non factor.
Disregard it GMs. | ||

I don't own an AoN: and probably never will, but the point of having one is to add a whole new level of potential capacity to one's PvP game, and is a reward generally to those that participate in PvP vrs those that just show up for raid loot.
Why would a server want to take away one of the most sort-after and prestigious PvP items in the game and make it a watered down version (I.e name plates). This isn't Wow and everyone deserves the same footing.

Both Empire and Good Guys have enough AON's to turn an entire raid force into skelly's, it's really not benefiting either side to have no nameplates. All it does is turn pvp into a confusing mess.
It's sad that we let our personal feelings and old grudges get in the way of making changes that are really just good for everyone and promote skill based pvp. Quote:

Confusing mess will still be a thing with Name plate aons. Instead of chasing a no name skel you will be chasing a named skell that is barely blinking among other names that arent blinking
Same argument people are making for names can be said for target rings. Target rings would make mass pvp less confusing.

Y'all need to stop acting so damn entitled to some "classic" nostalgia. If its for the health and growth of the server, why not concede something like this?
On both sides too, why not compromise in some fashion? If not name plates, why not target rings? If not target rings, why not make the AoN no trade so whole guilds + extras cant all be skeletons without name plates? Find some middle ground, or just leave it up to the devs. There is a reason to make this change, for the health of the server and to entice more people - as well as make "end game" pvp more enticing as well.

lite's idea of server health was to convince the officers of the newbie-helping leveling guild to disband and join him and then quit the game 3 days later
