Raid targets, epics and rare items should just be given to everyone then in instances like EQ2 & other games. EQ was an RPG with quests and a competitive raid scene since the original game on live.

Players enjoy beating competition in an RPG, it makes winning more fun. Its what drove this server to such a fiercely competitive state. It takes more than 1 guild to compete and there were epic raids that just wouldn't have been as fun to win/lose without having opposition. Also this competitive RPG created guilds on live back in the day like FoH and LoS who paved the way through the game for a lot of players on other servers. It was a race always to reach the end game, get that loot & win over the competition.

DD
Lots of people enjoy competing for prizes, only a small subset enjoys gleefully shitting up the environment to ensure that they can be kings of their little molehill day after day, week after week, year after year, and they feel entitled to do so and throw temper tantrums when they're prevented. IRL, people like that and/or their descendants often end up with an appointment at the guillotine. On p99 we are kinder and gentler than RL, so instead we point and laugh and call them "class C".

That wasn't directed at you specifically it was these boards this forum and as a whole when people are targeting others. I have been guilty of it and was called on it.

You are and will always be a hypocrite and its not something worth wishing would change. You rode the TMO train right over every casual raider right along with the rest of us. For however long you were just as much a part of the problem. That you stated should be changed. So congratulations you reaped the rewards of a system you state was flawed and while I agree that maybe there were changes that needed to be made. You are and never have been the white knight fighting for the underdog you seem to pretend to be. You just played forumquest differently from everquest.

Anyway I never came here originally to say anything to you. I came here to say hi to friends I hadn't spoken with in over a year.
Thing is he never really fought for the underdog, he was able to applaud the raid reform without simultaneously incriminating old TMO as a bunch of robber barons through careful use of language. Xasten is something else. 10/10 would hire as my lawyer

Doesn't mean the dude wasn't wrapped up in something that caused a lot of problems for the staff and basically ruined the server for a whole lot of people for a long time. But it takes a huge nerd to hold an actual grudge over something like that. I was a part of it too after all, lols

Other than chopping it up with some homies, train wars is the most fun I ever had on blue. Don't knock it until you've tried it. The threshold for successful guildwide organization and execution is much higher than normal EQ PvE. A few months ago I was really tempted to try to setup some off-night train wars in VP for whoever wanted to participate - captains choosing teams or whatever. It wouldn't be quite the same without the dragons up, but it would certainly be a lot of fun.

Clark, your calling me elitist? Look at how you just spoke to Obliterator, a guy who rarely posts here but has been a long time player of the game.

You sound elitist. lol.

TMO was run by the guild leader and officers who started the guild. We added to the officers as needed, when we merged or if someone stepped up and showed they had what it took. There was no click, you just weren't a part of TMO so you don't understand how things worked.

First off I do not sound elitist; I was responding back to this retard with 10 posts thinking he knows me when he has only posted 10 times. He obviously is full of shit.

Second you are elitist dude. You never responded to tells if you weren't buddy buddy with someone. Even when you did you'd have ass conversations. I also respond to tells from anyone in game always. Far from elitist and the majority of my game time is spent buffing/free PLing/free iteming to folks. So step you ass back in line 1.5yr ghost.
