Default Pvp/pve class choice

Hello all,

I'm torn between a Necro, Shaman, Bard, Monk

I am pretty versed in their strengths and weaknesses but I'm curious on their usefulness over all here on R99

I love necro for about every aspect, but being brand new to a server is hard for spell research not so far down the leveling path.
Shamans are very close to heart as I played one on live for many many years starting around mid kunark. And of course they are just a blast.
Bard I've never leveled up to far, but they are a ton of fun and utility dps is a role im pretty solid at. But the downside is no bind, which I've pretty much always played the bind / gate classes so it's kind of daunting.
Monks are just bad ass because.. well they are monks lol. But I don't know if a monk will be a good first choice because I do play off hours alot and without great gear I don't think I'll be able to solo near as well as the previous 3..so the monk may be my twink class down the line.

and for the pvp side which would suit me best to farm / take camps via pvp when needed. And just be pretty solid at pvp as a whole.

I know their are a million threads on similar questions but I appreciate any input to help me choose.

Thanks!

spell research shouldn't be why you don't roll necro imo. you'd find those spells.

play what you want to. dont worry about dying or gearing up and you'll have a blast knowing you came from rags to riches in the end

Bard very versatile, with practice you shouldn't lose many fights in outdoor zones.

I've got a 53 monk in bad gear, it's been fine so far.

edit:
lots of shamans, lots of monks. not so many necros or bards.

like others said, shaman a good starting class.
