Don't know what is more sad. People who actually feel the need to attempt to exploit that on what is supposed to be a server locked on classic for 6 months, or the fact that they let it get through.

So tempted to post up a "Consider P99" message in the flame thread(s) on the forums but I won't... too much love for the agreement etc.

There's lots of misinformation going on here. People weren't creating Heroic characters intentionally but certain race/class combinations were starting off at level 50 with no drop gear and no plat (unlike heroic characters who do start with plat). Most 50's were booted off manually pretty damn quick. Looks like the highest level on the server before the server dropped was level 8.
