I don't know what the outcome will be, but I'm certain that before the eventual "re-99" server launch there will be a serious dev discussion about whether or not to allow MQs again.
I kind of got the feeling that they wished it had been controlled here, but that they wouldn't even consider it due to folks already having done MQs for so long before they realized it was a possible problem. Once some folks had benefitted from it, it became fundamentally unfair to pull the plug.
I'm not saying that they will dismantle the MQing on re-99, but I'm sure it will be one of the discussion points to debate on a future server.
