They probably doing that mostly to try and make the solo classes happy since on Fippy and Vulak the cap they put on exp it hurt solo classes like necros alot where soloing was pointless cause you needed the group xp bonus to do anything.. But hey what can you do...

ehhhhh, they said there won't be anything game breaking. I don't mind XP pots at all when I decide to PL an alt with a druid or something.

If we have 6 months in classic I don't think anyone needs a potion or any other exp rate than 1x

XP potions will maybe ruin immersion for the poopsockers during the first week after each level cap increase.

doesn't really hurt anything else imo, and adds a revenue stream for a game that is getting pretty dried up.

leveling from scratch on the progression server to 50 will be "harder" than on p99 in its current state of bloated super ultra-twinks. don't get me wrong, I love it on p99 (and am glad to have my own twinks running around with epics at lvl 1 etc.) but p99 for most of us that have been here a while isn't all that "hard" to level a char on.

fun is fun. enjoy p99 and the coming progression server for what they are. i've had a ton of fun here and on both the old progression servers. i look forward to it because I know it will be fun again this time.

So the Everquest progression server Ragefire is live, will you be trying it out?

took me like 3 hours to beta buff to 20, and find out where all my missing spells were. I wish they would have chose characters that had full spellbooks. Went to where they should be sold with nothing on the merchants. Sent in some bug reports for those. Overall, pretty smooth. Monks/mage gonna be OP from my experience so far. Think I will stick to shaman/mage/monk trio right now and switch out the mage with something else later on.
